Can't have life where it doesn't rain, or have rivers
I am wondering what part of Saskatchewan that Quick Dick McDick is from. He is a hard working guy who is trying to scratch out a living in that province.
Louisiana offers it all in an SHTF situation. Many areas a city slicker would be too afraid to go. Food in abundance Sparce population. Winters that are mild
I got Saskatoon berry bushes that i’ve been tilling around every year without question. But I want to know. Do I really need to?
When at scale...the details matter. Great video...overhead is my go to for larger, more uniform watering.
Been homesteading in SE MI ten years now. Off the beaten path. I'd recommend anywhere north of the thumb. Beware if you're planning a homestead business. Our fascist state government... Google Nourish Cooperative.
I'll never live west of the Mississippi again
What I didn't hear you talk about is the statewide drug problem Arkansas has. I live in one of your no zones. The poultry industry has taken a huge hit. Property is over priced by 400 percent.
Tons of people go upstate, whenever the going is tough down state. During 9-11, we saw a huge influx of city dwellers come northward and many of them have vacation and hunting land in the Catskills, Adirondacks and Cooperstown areas.
If you do foliar applications on the foliage the best time is at dusk so that the droplets stay on the leaf as along as possible. This is a very effective way to get nutrients to your plant. Likely better to use a backpack sprayer than through overhead irrigation
These sets must be in parallel. If these are in series the deciding one would be the one producing the lower power. Am I right?
I'm not sure. Each solar rig has it's own charge controller. Three rigs, 16 panels each and one charge controller.
Lots of good old boy farmers in Ontario
Well, homesteading does not happen in choice areas.... Half day trips for groceries and supplies can happen.
Lmfao. lame. Boohoo
NICE SHIRT! 😂😂 FUNNY BUT TRUE
to be honest. I have live in sask all my life. Your assessment of properties that you have no idea if it's for sale or not os somewhat insulting. I would stick to actual listing's.
It’s hot, now! So many forests and lakes around us in the Parkland area… we moved here from BC and AB.
Do San Diego my man
I would draw a bigger circle around Portland
Double.
It’s not enough for reps to show up. If you rep 6000 workers, those 6000 workers should be there. That’s what solidarity means. It’s not the same as “we wish you good luck as you take in the fascist state.” 🧡💖
Use your excess energy to mine bitcoin, lol
Never heard before ;)
Bro you’re thinking about late 20th century climate zones. You can’t just write off climate forecasts as “wokeness” cause. It will warm up and get wetter in ny. Coastlines will retreat, we see about double global average sea level rise so anywhere from 6-20ft over the next century depending who you ask and depending what happens. If west Antarctica goes, all bets are off and we’re talking dozens of feet.
You can make the arid land into a microclimate. (Northern AZ) I've seen people make a lush garden with thick mulch - I've seen it! The best season to grow a garden in Phoenix is in the winter. There are a few nights that can drop below freezing!
Very interesting, thank you for sharing
Anyone else think the terrain across Utah, Arizona, and Colorado looks like a fox?
From Bisbee az, hard as hell to farm here, been doing it for a long time, but hard work
You've raised some interest for me about this province. I would like to learn more. What would be the best way to speak with you about your views on a specific area? Thank you.
You have another person's house on your driveway, they will control this situation.
Lol
sorry, what? 🤔😮
@@peteroz7332 At the bottom of the land, the driveway is on someone else's land, and you would have to drive past their house, through their land to get home. They are like the gatekeepers to your property.
Future site of a FEMA slush fund. Party members only Reeducation plantation. Historic America.once a place ,the hearth meant stability. Now just a look out station. For at first,a Christian capture zone. Then, just a place,to pick up stragglers.
LMAO stay clueless Az is a gem

Yea please stay away from our state.
They are actually all moving back now it seems. So many Ontario license plates in New brunswick since covid.
I would not live in Commie Canada for any reason or amount of money.
That's fine. But the US is far more commie than Canada.
But it’s still democrat NY
You're entirely life is dominated by conservatism. You're entire ideology is making sure that we don't progress. Don't learn new things and keep the status quo
Please do a video on WI and MN
Dont forget NB gov loves glyphosate🤮🤮They put that stuff everywhere 😳
Hey Curtis! Would love to see you do one on Newfoundland and Labrador!
It's coming.
I know normally as an American it’s easier to cross into Canada than it is to come back into America. I’m thinking crossing the border back into the U.S. with a car full of either groceries or other goods would provide more headache than relief for the dollar. Anyone have experience in this area here? Also, how difficult are the winters up in this part of the country? Especially this far out from town. Are the residents responsible for clearing the roads or does the state or county have trucks that come by and how long are stuck before they make it by?
The area you have outlined in blue is literally called the bad lands 😅 much of the Dakotas down through nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma i would call the great planes though many people who live in these regions would consider themselves in the "Midwest" much of sd can have snow all the way into June! Though it doesn't stick around. There are actually a number of people who move to the center of the state in order to get away from people. It pretty much is the middle of nowhere. Definitely have a very sturdy green house and a lot of preps if you choose to go here.
at 5:07 you show 4 big red circles and said you put a blanket 50 kilometer circle around major cities. the center of the bottom 2 are brookings and sioux falls. between those 2 cities is the city of madison. that is where i am at right now this very second. 50 kilometers is 31.068 miles. well i hate to break it to you, but it is 54 miles to sioux falls and 52 miles to brookings. i was in sioux falls this morning, and i go to brookings all the time to get trigger point injections in my back! my land is several dead towns to the west and i bought it as a staging point to go look at land in montana, bought 20 acres there but gave it away because i ended up with over 1 MILLION DOLLARS in medical bills! im headed south when i find the right piece of land in southern missouri!
Talk to us about packaging and storing before delivery ❤
Northern California. Would like it if you split Northern and Southern California.
NE SD in the Sisseton area is beautiful. Beautiful farmland and rich soil. I don't think the farms there ever come on the market.
Yikes...you're reminding me that where I'm about to move & set up shop for the next little while is in a part of Colorado that I describe basically how you describe Saskatchewan. I'll figure it out. Apricots. Currants. Greens and roots. And SPRUCE 😆
I think he is doing a real decent job. He is thinking about things people will regret thinking about if problems develop. Do not blame this man for choosing not to be a shallow lotus eater.
Do you take into account historic maps that may reveal old underground mines that could poison the groundwater?
No.
@@offgridcurtisstone Oh, you should. Friends bought land in the mountains and there was an old abandoned mine under their property that was poisoning their groundwater. Cost them tens of thousands of dollars to put in a water purification system and they couldn't plant vegetable gardens. Lawsuits everywhere!
Yes, I'm sure there's hundreds of ways to spend more time and consider this or that, but this is what we have and is the best we can do. I would encourage you to make a video series about that, it sounds really interesting. Please keep me posted.
Southwest sask. Moved oct 2020 from B.C. Found 7 acres, 4 bed, 3 bath house, shop, fruit trees etc. Out west this property would be $1M. We found a bargain at $160k. As cold and windy as it is, it beats the hell out of bc. Love it here.
100%. Curtis is way off...
Can you please do Southern California please especially around the San Bernardino Mountains
I spent most of my life there, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
You don't know this state at all. Talking without knowing anything.
You do a video and shows us the correct information. Thanks!
I am from SoDak and I think he did a fine job. Gives a person a place to start, if they're interested in moving to SD to homestead.
I have a small homestead/farm in the city of covina california zone 10a 23 miles east of downtown la and its a bitch to find a decent plot of land out here. The only way i ever see buying land in california is to move to norcal on the coast where the winters are less harsh like here in southern california. If you plan to buy land out here good luck 🤞
